The active ingredient in T3 is Liothyronine Sodium, a thyroid hormone. It is made to mimic the naturally occurring thyroid hormones in the human body and treat hypothyroidism that can be the cause of chronic fatigue, excessive obesity and different disorders in metabolism. T3 is more potent than T4, it's effects are faster and four to five times stronger than that of T4 (Synthroid, Lthyroxine...).

Liothyronine is a naturally occurring hormone produced by the thyroid. It is important for normal energy and metabolism. For a variety of reasons, the body may not produce enough of this hormone on its own.

T3 boosts metabolism of fat, protein and carbs into energy making it possible to maintain very low body fat % for extended periods of time, even on a high calorie diet. With this increased food to energy conversion it also makes anabolic steroids as well as human growth hormone more effective. It is even more effective for females that overall have a slower metabolic rate and it allows booth male and female athletes to indulge in foods that would normally cause them to loose the necessary hard and defined look. Regarding the dosage one should always discuss the use with a licensed physician. Most start low and increase slowly over a couple of weeks, many start at 25 mcgs and increase the dose every four days.

When/if 100 mcgs mark is achieved any additional increase renders little if any increase in effectiveness. The daily dose should always be spread evenly throughout the day for maximum effectiveness. If used for prolonged periods, T3 can cause a chronic thyroid insufficiency requiring it's use for the rest of the life, therefore licensed physician consultation is necessary. Diarrhea, hypersensitivity, deminishing of the pulmonary function, irregular heartbeat, tremors, headache... can all be observed if dosage is exceeded, especially in the beginning, so take T3 with extreme caution. It is also important to eat a diet extremely rich in protein, to avoid loss of muscle mass, if T3 is taken without simultaneous anabolic steroid intake.
